Rebecca Koskela has 25 years of experience in scientific computing in industry, research labs and universities. For the past 9 years she has served as Executive Director of DataONE, a virtual organization with members located throughout the US and Europe. As Executive Director, she is the liaison between DataONE and many other international research data infrastructure and research projects, such as COOPEUS and ENVRIPlus. In addition to this, she has contributed to the Research Data Alliance (RDA) since its inception, co-leading three of the metadata groups. Rebecca is currently the co-chair of the EarthCube Technology & Architecture Committee and vice-chair of the EarthCube Leadership Council.
